Sant’Agostino Ceramica Showroom
The space was preexisting. My idea was based on “going green.” So the main element in my space is the ceiling. It’s an abstract sculptural structure. It’s supposed to be the abstract of the bottom of a sneaker as you take a step, a constant reminder of the footprint being left on the earth. It’s a gridded system and can be snapped apart to fit any space. It also acts as a fake support for the loft space above. The pockets on the walls are to display the tiles. The pocket is mirrored around the tile. The tile slides in at an angle and then can be viewed from a distance by looking at the wall because of the mirrors. The basement space is supposed to be for small events.
